Privacy Policy — Cursor Puppy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

Cursor Puppy is a visual browser toy: an animated pixel pet that walks around on the pages you visit. This policy describes exactly what it does and does not send to us. It is written to be accurate rather than flattering — where we do collect something, we say so.

The short version

About the "read and change all your data" warning

Chrome warns that this extension can read and change data on every website. That warning is about what the extension is technically able to do, not what it does.

The pet has to be drawn on a page in order to walk across it. The only way Chrome lets an extension draw on a page is to give it access to that page, and that same access would also allow reading the page. Chrome cannot tell the two apart, so it warns about both.

Cursor Puppy only draws. Its on-page script adds its own images to the page and removes them again. It does not read page text, form fields, passwords, cookies, or the page address, and it makes no network requests of its own.

What we collect

From the extension:

ItemWhat it isWhy
Anonymous IDA random identifier (e.g. f47ac10b-…) generated in your browser on installTo count installs and roughly how many people use it daily/weekly
Event namesinstall, heartbeat, banner_impression, banner_clickUsage counts, and to tell an advertiser how often their offer was seen or clicked
Offer IDWhich offer was shown or clickedAdvertiser reporting

The anonymous ID is not linked to your name, email, account, or any other identifier. We have no way to work out who you are from it. Clearing the extension's storage or reinstalling produces a new, unconnected ID.

Your area (only if you type it): the popup has an optional "your area" box. If you type a place and save it, that text is stored locally and sent with the offer request so we can pick an offer for that area. We do not geolocate you, look up your IP, or use any location service — the only area we ever know is the one you choose to type. Leave the box blank and no area is sent.

What we never collect

Page content · page addresses or browsing history · anything you type · form data, passwords or payment details · cookies · your name, email or phone · your precise GPS location · screenshots · any data from other extensions.

We do not use trackers, advertising cookies, or fingerprinting, and we do not build a profile of you.

What the permissions are for

Who else sees anything

Our own server (aisandy.tech), operated by us, receives the anonymous ID, event names, and the area you typed (if any). No other party receives anything — there is no location service and no analytics provider.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising profiles, creditworthiness, or lending.

How long we keep it

Event records (anonymous ID, event name, timestamp) are kept to produce usage and advertiser reports. Area lookups are never stored. If you want your event records deleted, email us with your anonymous ID — you can find it in the extension's storage — and we will remove them.

Children

Cursor Puppy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date, and, where the change affects what we collect, in the extension listing.
