EditPDF Privacy Policy
Effective 4 October 2026 · Applies to the EditPDF Chrome extension · Publisher: Sandeep Naredla
Summary
EditPDF processes your PDF files entirely on your own computer. It does not collect, store, sell or transmit any of your data.
What EditPDF handles
- PDF files you choose to open, and the edits you make to them.
- These stay in the browser tab's memory while you work. They are written only where you choose (Save, Save as, or Download) and are discarded when you close the tab.
What EditPDF does not do
- It makes no network requests. Documents, text, images and metadata are never uploaded.
- It has no accounts, analytics, advertising, cookies or tracking.
- It requests no browser permissions and cannot read your browsing activity or other websites.
- It does not store your documents in browser storage. The only thing it remembers is that you accepted the Terms of Use (version and date), kept in your browser and never sent anywhere.
File access
When you use Save, Chrome asks your permission to write to the file you opened. EditPDF writes only when you click Save, Save as or Download.
Terms of Use
Use of EditPDF is governed by the Terms of Use. You must comply with the laws that apply where you use it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
